I'm not sure if it updates the time when I change something or if it is gaining or loosing time. I have noticed that the on @ sunset time is getting pretty far off.

We need more info.  What version are you using?  What is the sunrise/sunset offsets in the timers?  You can can have an offset on and off.  The offsets and be by sunset or sunrise.

The accuracy of the dusk / dawn times will vary depending on your resolution setting in the "Tools" menu.

The lower the resolution, the more it will drift inbetween updates.

Higher resolution stores more dusk / dawn times and is more accurate.

Hope that helps.

In the real world, the only constant is change.

When I'm online you can find me in the Home Automation Chat Room!

Thanks...My version is the latest (3.236) & I've changed the resolution to daily & I'm sure that will help.

If you don't have any plug-ins, go to http://software.x10.com/pub/applications/activehome/  and look for ahp_updt_204.exe.  Save that and apply it over what you have now (It's pretty well established that 3.236 and 3.371 are both buggy releases of AHP)  when it is installed, use the flashing "Update Available" on the right side of the AHP window to update AHP to 3.228

I'm not sure if the date/time on the bottom of the AHPro is "just" a mirror of what the date/time of my computer or what it indicates what time will be xfered. The on time for one of my appliances activated at the specific time I set so the time is correct which I guess would be another "easy" way of knowing if the controller is loosing or gaining time over time & require a new xfer.
Further I improved my sunset settings as there was no nearby locations so I googled my city for the log/lat and entering in the tool/hardware & that worked perfectly!

AHP does get its time from the PC's clock.   If it didn't, the DST changes would not be sent to AHP and every timer would run one hour late or early, and you would have to clear the interface and reload it twice a year for the DST changes.  The AHP user who don't have the CM15A connected 24/7 get to play the connect/disconnect routine four times a year as the CM15A has the old DST dates in its firmware.
