Sorry, but the answer to most of your questions is yes.

If someone has a X10 video receiver (or even some other brands that work on similar frequencies), all they have to do is tune the right one of the four channels and they can see the video from your wireless cameras (assuming they can get within range).

Likewise, if they have a X10 remote and can set it up the same of yours, they can PTZ your camera and turn it on and off.

Sadly, no.  A-P are all the house codes X10 cameras support.

In the real world, the only constant is change.

.....and they can listen to the audio from your camera as well.....

There are low life's going around trying to receive all kinds of wireless camera signals. Not limited to X10 cameras. Any brand even baby monitors.
You can buy widely tunable receivers to do such things and get plans to build them also. ???

The X10 remote control thing is probably a brand dependent thing.

Maybe why some like hard wired cameras in their setups.

Same is true about for all consumer grade wireless cameras, not just X10.

Not good... but not awful ether. A weakness yes... but not limited to X10. Technologies almost always have weaknesses.

If someone wishes to view my X10 camera(s)... first they have to turn it on. Going through the 256 H/U codes within range of my CM15A is going to take a little time..... while they stand in my yard with their video viewing equipment. Even if I am NOT home... I think the neighbors will notice... and I will likely get video of them as well.

I use a mixture of BOTH wired and wireless cameras. If you have a "senitive area" that you really don't want to risk on the airways (but also feel compelled to have a camera there)... use a wired X10 camera there.

This is one reason I use a standalone DVR and mostly wired cameras.
Not just for the extra security of them being much harder to jack a feed from, but because they're so much more reliable signal wise.
My DVR has several outputs and I run one of them to my VA12A to use with AHP.

Yes... I like the wired cameras myself. But there are times.. and locations.. when a wireless cam can really be handy (not to mention quick). The great thing about the X10 system/setup is at least you don't need to leave the camera always sending the video signal for anyone to find.

Great point. That feature actually makes the X10 system more secure than say a Swan wireless. Pantarra are you still listening?
