issues getting the switches and lights to works as the should
« on: October 09, 2010, 01:05:00 PM »

Hello,

i new with the equipment of X10 products but for the easy product it is i still have an issue i can't tackel.

What i bought is the following,
- 2-PACK IMX10 Multifunctionele interface, inbouwmodule
- EH-CM15Pro PC Interface
- 4-PACK EH-LD11 DIN Dimmers
- KR22A credit card controller

My plan was to use the the DIN DImmers for 4 groups of spots that are build in the ceiling, i connected the IMX10 to a double switch so that i could use 1 imx10 for 2 LD11 dimmers and also be able to use the function brighten and dim, i did the same for the other IMX10

The LD11 dimmers are set up so that they are know as A1, A2, A3, A4

i'm able to turn on/off/dim the lights With the activehome, the software that comes with the EH-CM15Pro, so the dimmers work and the adresses are set okay i assume

then i tried to program the IMX10 controllers with the Credit card controller, but that was no succes, the light on the imc10 didn't blink when i pussed the buttons on the credit card controller, the Credit card controller standard should be on the A1 etc range so that should be okay, but i assumed that the credit card controller would use the receiver part from the EH-CM15Pro, but is this the case?

maybe somebody is known with this situation and can explain me what i'm doing wrong or what i should buy to get this working.

Regards  Jan-Willem

Is the KR22A a European Model?
The remaining items on your list look like European models.
European models use a different RF frequency for their remotes so an American one will not work.
Here in the US we use 310MHz. European versions are 433.92MHz.
If the KR22A is a US version. It will not work with your CM15Pro Interface.

If it is a European Model.
Try looking in the Tools Tab
Hardware Configuration
Tranceived House Codes.
Make sure it is not set to None.
If it is on Auto. You may want to go to Specific and pick the House Codes you want to use.

damn.. that is the price i pay for trying to buy some cheaper  B:(

in holland they sell the KR22E and i bought the KR22A from the USA

if the frequency is different then that explains why it didn't work for me :(

Yes it sounds like you found the problem.
That would also apply to motion sensors as they are also RF devices.

Stop back and tell us if you get it working.
Manytimes we never hear of a successful outcome.
