I am a NEWBIE and have used Active Home for a couple of weeks now and I have the following comments.
1.) Its not perfect but I suspect my being an ingenue has something to do with it.
2.) When something doesn't work the house is still standing, I can generally figure it out.
3.) IT has its idiosyncrasies but then so do I
4.) For an inexpensive home automation product I am generally impressed. If I cant get it to work reliably, I will try someone Else's software.
5.) For the price you can't beat it.
6.) Sure X10 should do a rewrite of the software rather than plugins and workarounds. I vote with my pocket book, if it doesn't work oh well for x-10
I am enjoying the novelty of the system. Very cool.
