another signal/connection issue

I have a PLW01 Wall Dimmer Switch - Receiver for a single-pole switch and RC6500 wireless control system that I access remotely with a RKR24 keychain remote. 

It has worked fine for 2 years and just last week, stopped working.  You can hear the RC6500 clicking on and off when the remote buttons are pressed, but it no longer turns the light on and off. 

I moved the RC6500 to a different electrical socket and everything works again, just like it did before. 

Why does it no longer work at the original socket it was plugged in to?  That's where I want it to be.  Any suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Probably electrical noise on your homes power lines, from something new, or a CFL bulb going bad. There is a ton of information about noise on this forum.
