Version 3.304 Issues
« on: January 18, 2011, 08:53:35 AM »

Updated AHP from 3.301 -> 3.304 and at least 1 timer event is no longer working properly.  I have a backyard light on a LM465 set to turn on at dusk at dim to 43%.  This has worked for years, but now the light turns on and fails to dim.  The activity log shows the following:

Macro A4 Extended Code 1b 31 - Preset receiver operation (Rear Light)
Macro A4 Extended Code 1b 31 - Preset receiver operation (Rear Light)
Macro A4 Extended Code 1b 31 - Preset receiver operation (Rear Light)

Rolled AHP back to 3.301 and everything is working again and the activity log shows the following:

Macro A4 (Rear Light)
Macro A Bright 100% (Rear Light)
Macro A Dim 57% (Rear Light)

Only in v3.304 does an "Extended Code" log entry show for this and other types of events such as motion sensor triggered macros.

Possible bug in newest version????

Thanks,
DeliBaker

Since x10 added support for soft start modules I'm wondering if your macros are now set to the wrong type of module.
This would definitely affect dimming operations!

Thank you, I just did the upgrade again so I could check the .ahx file and the module is still listed as LM465.  The dimming is set in the advanced layout of the module timer option rather than via a macro.  How can I determine if it is a soft start module??

Thanks again,

Soft Start modules ramp On and Off at maybe a two second ramp. The older where instantly On and Off. No ramping. Same for the soft start wall switches.

AHP 3.304 now has a drop down list for the older lamp and wall switches along with the soft start versions.

right-click on the module, and click "edit".
Then in the Type of Module" drop-down, select "Older Lamps (No SoftStart)".
Then, select the correct type of module from the "Module" drop-down.

Thanks,  I just updated every module to the old style and I'll see what happens later this evening when the timers kick in.  Again thanks for all your help!!!
