Ok thanks noam and Brian h. I did unplug it and it was my pc power supply. Now here is a $1,000,000 question how the heck am i supposed to use this in my room with my computer on? The whole point of me buying these x10 devices was to use them with cooperation of my PC. Not being able to use the dimmer with my pc is completely pointless for my needs.

Ok nvm I got it now. With so many wires running into my room (tv center/game consoles/routers) I didnt realize i was using the same power chain to hook up the powerline, so I plugged it to the other outlet not connected at all to my pc/tv/etc and turned the computer on and the lights now dim and everything.

Thank you so much Noam and Brian H and everyone who gave me tips on how to solve this. Wish I could buy you guys a lobster and beer dinner =)

Cheers

Noam

Surge protectors are notorious for killing X0 signals.
You still may benefit from adding a plug-in filter between all of those electronics and the wall outlet.

Plug in X10 filters can be used on power cords.
I have my computer and all accessories on a APC BX1000 UPS and the whole UPS is on a ten amp Smarthome FilterLinc filter.
It has a unfiltered pass through outlet on the front. Where I have my 2413S Insteon/X10 PLM Interface connected.
