I am now using the HC10LM Lamp module and the timers still do not work.  I know I am a newbee but is this program that difficult to master?

Are you defining the module as "Soft Start" in AHP?

Yes I think I have done that, you would think that this would be as easy to operate as my desk set hard wired control.  Glad it was only 10 bucks, still one would think it would be simpler to program.  Could there be some setting on my computer that is interfering with the running of this program.

Some of the earlier versions had problems with the CM19A.

The RCA HC10LM Lamp module is a NON Soft-Start module equal to a LM465 non Soft-Start (old style) and should use the LM465 from the "Old Lamps to work properly.

I just read back through this thread, and one thing I didn't see mentioned is if you are keeping AHP open all the time or not.
I don't have any experience with the CM19A, but since it doesn't have memory to store anything, does that mean that the AHP must running in order for the timers to work? Can anyone with a CM19A answer that one?

Additionally, have you made sure that the location settings are correct in AHP, and that the PC's time zone and date/time are correct?

X10 should be beaten with a switch iron for even producing the CM19A let alone selling it.  It may be USB, but needs a transponder (TM751 or RR501) to put powerline signals on the powerline.

The CM15A does both RF and PLC, what Deanch should do get a CM15A and junk the CM19A.

OK some tests.
CM19A, TM751, SS LM465, AHP 3.306. LM465 choice from lamps; not old lamps.
Timer with AHP running OK.
Timer after closing AHP but no reboot OK.
Timer after reboot. No On command. Off command sent.
Timer after reboot. Store in interface not checked. No On. Off command sent.
Redefine the module as a appliance module. Reboot. OK both an On and Off sent.
Redefine the module as a old type LM465. Reboot. OK both On and Off.
Here is the puzzle. Redefine the LM465 as a soft start again. Reboot. Now the timer sent both an On and an Off.

I believe as long as x10nets.exe is running the timers should run.

Very thorough testing, Brian!

When they first added the SoftStart support, I played with switching modules back and forth, and found some very inconsistent results.
Also, if I had both a SoftStart and a non-SoftStart module on the same address, AHP defaulted to using ONLY the non-SoftStart commands. (which kinda makes sense, I guess).

I know that a lot of people have issues with the CM19A and AHP, and there is a line-item for it on the "bug list" here on the forums: http://forums.x10.com/index.php?topic=22373.msg127475#msg127475

The developers have told me they are working on fixing every item on our list, but some will take more time than others. Not every bug will be fixed in the next update, but at least a few of them definitely will. They have no ETA on the next update yet. They are trying to fix as many bugs as they can before pushing it out the door.
