Has anyone with an answering machine ever been able to both remote their SC1200

and hear their messages.  That thread has sort of died.  The manual claims that you can but the last post in the thread was 6/1 as the poster was returning the system because they can't do both.  If anyone has a console that is 100% compatible and functional with a 100% functioning answering machine, please let us know as I think many of us would want the upgraded model since X10 can't do firmware updates!
