CM15Pro - Clock Issues?

Guys,

I have been using a CM15 for about a year now, its doing very little other than turning on and off a few LW10's, LM12's & AM12's.  Nothing is a macro all are specific timers.

I don't have a PC connected to the CM15.  I have ActiveHome on a laptop and plug in the CM15 just to download my latest configuration/changes (I always clear the memory before the download).

About a month ago, the switching seemed to stop working.  Additionally, if I physically turned on a light switch, occasionally it would turn itself back of 20 seconds or so later (as said occasionally).

Nothing had changed with my configuration, no appliances have moved, its all a bit bizarre.

To try and fix the issue, I cleared the memory of the CM15Pro.  Turned off the power and took the battery out for a while.  I then upgraded to the latest version of AHP (3.308) on my laptop.  Loaded in my config file and downloaded onto the CM15.

I seem to now be in a position where the lights are switching on at the right time, however its random when they go off??

Do you think the CM15 is broken, has it got a problem with its onboard clock?  I can't work out the issue and its causing me a whole load of pain  B:(

All help appreciated, Thanks in advance!!

Time issues are well documented on the forum!
The fact that yours isn't connected to a PC is the main reason for the issues.
Daylight savings time is another reason.
The CM15A was hard coded with the old setback and forward times.
For more info dig into the forum using the search function.

Hi, Thanks for replying.

I've searched and read many different issues around timings and macros.

What I find strange is that genuinely nothing has changed inthe system and then it decided to not work.  Hence the reason for the new thread?

Time issues generally don't show up or are noticeable for several months
Daylight savings times usually accelerate the issue making it more noticeable.
Reconnecting to the PC and up dating timers and macros will usually fix the issue for another few months.

Thats the problem, its been reconnected!! It just doesn't want to play.

I've just grabbed a new PC to use specifically for connecting to the CM15 and using for automation  -:) .  I'll try plugging it in at the weekend and seeing what happens.

It a shame really, waste of a good PC  ::)

you may need to do the battery reset  thingy to get it working correctly again. ::) :'

Hi Tuicemen,

Thanks.  How do I do that or is it simply the battery remove and power down I've tried?

Tuicemen

sorry for the slow reply! :-[
Somehow I missed the notification for this thread.
The battery reset steps can be found by using the search function of the forum.
You need to remove it from the PC (USB) and Power
remove the batteries
Wait a few mins and replace everything.
since it is now running on a new PC you may need to clear the interface and re upload to it.

Aparently the clock issue has been fixed a number of updates ago!
If you don't have the current update (3.313) get it here
The auto update function in AHP has been broken for some time and will not see updates
