Hey Everyone,

Trying to get "it's nighttime" condition to work.

When I push a button on the key chain remote, I want the "it's nighttime" to execute one of two macros depending on if it is night time or not.  Now is that unreasonable???  I have to say, in the “old” days, I never had much luck with “nested macros.”

What do they mean when the say "Requires two entries?"

First of all, what version of AHP are you running? There was a bug in the time-based condition logic that affected some macros prior to version 3.315.
Second, "Requires two entries" means that the "daytime" or "nighttime" conditions use two of the three condition "slots" that are available in a conditional macro.

I am running 3.318.

I programmed for 15 years and all of the languages that I used were easier to understand and work with than this!

I attached a file.

Both of the macros are executing and sending me the respective emails.

I am trying to say, execute "Come Home Nighttime" if it's nighttime or "Come Home Daytime" if it is daytime.

What am I doing wrong???

Are you testing by running the macro from within the AHP software, or using the button on the remote?
AHP ignores conditions (or evaluates them as "true") if you trigger the macro from within the software.

Are you storing the macros in the CM15A?
You might want to try clearing the interface and re-downloading.

Also, is it sending you two different e-mails, or are both e-mails the same? I've seen reports of two copies of the e-mail being sent by macros.

It is really strange, since even if both macros had the SAME condition, it only is supposed to trigger the first "linked" one that passes the test.

Yes, it forces you to store it in the CM15A.

Done on clearing and installing.

Yes, two different emails, one from each macro (last night).

Strange, now it is just doing only the "daytime" one.  Either the clear fixed it or it's just the "nighttime" one that isn't working???

Hey Norm,

Took a little time tonight to be-bug AHP “nighttime” condition.

Definitely a bug.  If I change it to “Daytime”, it works as one would expect.
