SC1200 Delayed Arming When Entering the House.
« on: August 20, 2011, 04:09:37 PM »

I have tried everything I can think of and I still cannot get this to work. If I set the alarm to Armed Away, I get the 60 second delayed exit like I am looking for. However, when I re-enter the house, the system fires immediately. I have tried what the manual says by switching the sensor to Max but the system still instantly fires when I open the door. Does anyone have any advice for me?

You did check in the options menu, the entry delay time?
Are you using the Console Arm Away Button, SH624 Remote or a keychain remote?

DS10A or DS12A Door Window Sensor?

Thanks for the quick reply. I have it set to a 30 second delay on entry. I have tried setting it with a keychain remote, and with the actual system panel itself. The door/window sensors are the DS10A's.

I will see what I can find out.
I believe the keychain remotes are Arm Away No Delay.
The SH624 is the confusing one. The Max-Min Switch on it add or removes the delay for both Arm Home and Arm Away. Nothing like a sixty second Arm Home Delay.  :'

I added a test MS10A to my SC1200.
With the Arm Away from the console. I get the exit delay and if the DS10A is set to max. I get the entry delay. If it is set to min. I get no entry delay.

I have On Alert and in AHP Max shows a message of DS10A Delayed Sensor Triggered on Max.
DS10A Sensor triggered on Min.

Are you are moving the magnet away for your trigger or the test button?

Thanks for your help on this. I think I got it figured out. Turned the switch back to min, it fired instantly as it should. Turned it back to Max again, and it started working. Must not have initialized it or something. Seems to be working fine now. Thanks for the suggestions and the help.

Maybe a poor contact in the switch.
I believe it just slides over some pads on the circuit board.
Moving it a few time may have cleaned it up.
