Wierd Problem
« on: September 27, 2011, 08:05:16 AM »

This just popped up.  I have 2 RR501 transceivers, one on housecode A and on on housecode F.   Yesterday the Unit F2 (an overhead fluorescent light (2 tubes) failed to accept X10 signals, AHP (3.310) cannot control it  plus the stick-a switch in the breakfast room cannot control any module on F but has reverted to housecode A.   What's going on?

The stick-a-switches will revert to HC A if they lose battery power or have low battery, just as x10 motion sensors do. Did you check the battery or try to reprogram the HC/UC?
Any chance where it is a florescent fixture the ballast or a bulb is failing and introducing noise?

The battery went bad, it reverted to A.  Got a new battery, reset to F (Food) and each RR501 gets only the proper codes from their SS13As.   When resetting a SS13A (Stick-a-Switch) don't work fast when changing a housecode above C.  It may take several tries to get the housecode you want.
