Hi all,

I have a RTM75 (same as TM751) that I've been using for several months without any issues. It controls a small vent fan in the attic. I use a RKR24 Keychain remote to turn the fan on/off. Today I press the button on the RKR24 but nothing happens. The small LED light on the keychain remote shows that the buttons on the remote are functioning. Normally when I turn the RTM75 on/off, I can hear the relay inside it - but now the fan's not coming on and the RTM75 doesn't make a sound. If I plug a light directly into the RTM75 and press the on/off button on the RTM75 front, it does turn the light on/off. So the power is there.  Is it possible that the battery in the RKR24 keychain remote isn't transmitting even tho the LED goes on/off?

What should I do next?

Did you have the RKR24 next to the RTM75 when you tested?
Yes is possible the battery is weak so the transmitter in the RKR24 simply isn't putting out enough power to reach the RTM75, but can still light the indicator.
Replace the battery.

It is also possible that the battery is too weak, and the remote reset itself.

Ok, I replaced the battery in the Keychain remote, and there was still no response from the RTM75. Then I read the pdf instructions that I found online and did a "re-set" of the remote. I'm happy to report that it works normally now.

Great!  When I had similar problem, I just tossed it out. Too late now for me.
