WOW. The GB10A has been discontinued for awhile.
I am sure some of the long time users may have some information for you.
The GB10A users manual is in the X10 FTP web site. Manuals section.
Also the link is on this web page.
http://www.x10.com/support/support_manuals.htm#Security

I looked at the single page installation sheet.
It sticks directly on the glass you want to protect. With double sticky tape.

I have one that came with my DS7000 system in 2003, I put it on my sliding glass door. It goes off if you pull on the handle to the door, bump it, or even just knock on the glass. Very sensitive, but I've never had a false alarm with it.

Supposedly it will detect the sound of breaking glass within 30 feet or something, but I'm not breaking a window to test it. :D

So it doesn't require both the sound and vibration?? Can it work just with sound if so my sister might be interested. Thanks!!

It will definitely work with just vibration. I am not breaking any glass to see if it works with just sound. You can test that yourself. ;)

Wasn't asking you to  ???  Just wondering if it is suppose to respond to both.

According to the description on their webpage when I bought mine, yes, it will respond to the sound of breaking glass in a certain area. It did not have to be the window it was attached to. Like most X10 claims, there's a 50/50 chance the ad copy was correct.
