Airpad 7P does it have a compus in it?
« on: March 17, 2012, 02:33:12 PM »

On X10s Wbpage it says the Airpad 7p has a compass in it, is this true or is it a "typographical error"?

They make it sound like because it has a built in compass it can be used for navigation software but if it has no GPS receiver in it how can they make this claim? A compass only tells you what direction you are facing or where North is. A GPS receiver or Cell Phone network is the only way to track you movement.

From the X10 Webpage

A great sense of direction - accelerometer & compass!

X10 AirPad 7p 7-inch Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Tablet PC With a 3-axis accelerometer, orientation sensor and 3-axis compass built into the AirPad 7p, it enables you to use the AirPad 7p landscape, portrait or even upside down, with auto image rotation. It also allows users to play motion-sensitive games and use mapping and other important apps.
