Problem with 110V led rope light.
« on: February 02, 2012, 02:28:44 PM »

I am trying to use an appliance module with an 18ft 110 V led rope light but when I turn it off it still glows dim.

Any help will be appreciated.

Search "LED Lights" on this forum.

A common problem with such low power devices.
The Local Control Sensing keeps them partially glowing. The new CFL friendly ones may still have a glow from the On Off sensing.

As a test try adding a small 7 watt night light to the output of the Appliance Module along with the LED Lights. If the glow is gone. We have a good chance it is the Local Control Sensing current.

As dave w suggested a search for LEDs will find many threads with solutions.
