How to purposely blow a fuse in a circuit?

How to purposely blow a fuse in a circuit?

I do not have a latching relay.  It would eliminate this question.

I want to use a fuse as a remote control safety device that I can control with a non-latching relay.

The fuse is conducting in a 24 VDC circuit.

I want to send a signal to a SPST relay that has wires connected to each side of the fuse.

If I sent 24 VDC directly across a quick low current fuse, would it blow before the rest of the circuit would be damaged?

It's tough to say without seeing a schematic of what you plan but, if one side of the fuse goes to + (i.e. power supply) and you ground the other (i.e. circuit) side, it should blow the fuse without damaging anything but, again, we really need a schematic to be sure.
