NO video when using Skype

Airpad 7P running android 2.3.4.  Skype 2.6.501.97.  get audio, but no video preview,nor rcvd, or transmitted. Camera is on. Tested camera outside of skype(by hitting the camera shortcut on home screen.. works fine). any ideas? B:(
