If I add Insteon controllers to my X10 system will I be able to control them with the X10 software?

Remote control is cool,
but automation rules!

Some of the Insteon interfaces and some of their software will allow control of both Insteon and X10. Some Insteon switches/modules could be configured with X10 addresses and controlled with X10 software and interfaces. They seem to be discontinuing those, however.

I expect to introduce something (hardware & software) in about 3 months that will allow control of X10, Insteon, UPB, ZWave, etc. from Windows, Linux, OSX and Android.

My old Insteon modules can have an X10 Primary Address programmed into them. Some even support a Secondary X10 Scene Address programmed into them.

As pointed out. The X10 support is being phased out. Best to look at the sales pages to see if X10 is listed as NA.

Do you have a email list or web site to keep me updates on this project?

Watch this page http://davehouston.org/Zarduino.htm. I'll set up a forum once it nears release.

The first releases will be the MegaUtility and MegaWiFi+ shields along with a ZarduinoTM Mega2560 which I'm working on at present.

Note that you will still need powerline interfaces for any of the technologies you want to use.
