Daldude

You wrot that,
" So then this file is for Ginger Bread 2.3.4 for the Airpad XL so one can restore back to Android 2.3.4 if they find that ICS does not work

for them on their Airpad XL due to older Apps not being compatible with ICS or if they have Flash Video issues with ICS?"

So what is the difference between gb 2.3.4 and Android 2.3.4??

Does anyone have accurate info on the upgrade for the Airpad X Model CM008 I am now running on Android version 2.3.4. I tried tech support and got no good info. I see post saying it may me another brand hard to believe they did not right a auto update in the original software.

Thanks

Search the forum. There are plenty of posts as to where you can get updates from the REAL maker of the MID as well as a modified version with Bluetooth support.

I just picked up a used AirpadX and it's a model CM005. Is it safe to assume that the ICS update will not work on this one? Thanks in advance.

The X and the XL are two different units and the firmware is not interchangeable. The Airpad X is a Zenithink C91. If you do a Google search you will be able to find the ISC firmware for the unit.

Thank you so much for the input! I'll go look for the update. So far I'm really impressed with this tablet. It has a lot of bang for the buck

Where can I download the Live Suite program? I tries the link provided and it goes to X10s Webpage where they sell their products.
I have windows 7 64 bit if that makes any difference.

I thought I had live suite but can't seem to find it or when I thought I tried to run what I thought Live Suite I got an error message about somet file or driver missing or something.

I need to re flash my Airpad Xl because I keep getting a Damaged SD card error referring to the internal memory for saving files. The system memory (the 1gb memory it used to install programs and manage cache and system memory to run the programs)  is ok. I did a Format System in recovery mode so now it won't boot any more so I have to re flash it to get the system back.
I do have the Firmware files for ICS.

I believe I have a copy of live suite somewhere.
I'll put it on my server and post a link to it if I find it.

Thanks I'll try it and hope it works just hope my computer did not get messed up and is missing some kind of dll or driver that will prevent Live Suite from installing. I have to reboot to Windows 7 first I usually run Linux.

I did not get a notice that you posted a second reply for for some reason I have it set to always notify me of any new replies, good thing I desided to check to see if any more replies were posted to my message.

I installed the CyanogenMod9 image and applied the Install cm9_nightly_20120721.zip then gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip then AirpadXL_compatibility_1.2.0.zip but can't find the file manager. Where did it go? I downloaded a file manager from the App Store but it's not the one that came with the AirpadXL when it had GB on it and I thought the first time I installed ICS CyanogenMod9 it had a file manager. My Asus Transformer Infinity came with the same file manager that The AirpadXL GB came with.

Ready for Kit-Kat?!!!

I've been very happy with JB (4.1.1), but I'm putting a Kit-Kat image through the paces. But from what I have seen so far, the JB (4.1.1) is just fine on the Airpad XL.

Will Let all know if it passes my tests.
