SocketRocket Issue w/ SC1200
« on: March 31, 2012, 08:08:27 PM »

I received 4 socket rockets w/ my SC1200 order.  I setup one of the socket rockets with say a Lightcode of A and a Housecode of 1 (or vice-versa - I can't remember).  I also set up the timer so the light automatically goes on/off at the programmed time.  It also works fine via the remote control.

Today, however, I registered a second socket rocket and noticed I can only setup 1 Lightcode and Housecode.  So when I tried to register the new socket rocket with say B and 2, it worked but my other light no longer works and Housecode/Lightcode 1 A no longer exist.  It's as though the SC1200 only up to1 socket rocket to be registered.

What am I doing wrong?

Saying you set Socket Rocket one to "setup one of the socket rockets with say a Lightcode of A and a Housecode of 1 (or vice-versa - I can't remember)" and " So when I tried to register the new socket rocket with say B and 2"....    Is no help. You need to be more accurate because the SC1200 can only control ONE house code. So if you did program one Sr to house code A and the second to (say) B thats why they don't work.

So set up one Socket Rocket as A1 (this is the SR's programmed house code, unit code from the factory) and the second will have to be A2. Have the Socket Rocket in a lamp plugged in to same outlet as the SC1200 when you program them.

The settings for House Code and Light Code are for the security lights you want to flash on an alarm or when the console is armed.
Actually you have two Security Light Codes. The one you set in the menu and the next highest one.
If not changed. A is the House Code and 1 is the unit code. The second Security Light Code is automatically one higher. A2

The timer function can do any of the sixteen Unit Codes for the House Code you selected in the menu. Not just the two Security ones. So you can program a Socket Rocket to lets say A3. It is not one of the Security Codes so it will not flash on an alarm, but you can still manually control it with the keypad buttons or have it in a timer.
Also you can duplicate Address so if you wanted five Socket Rockets to follow the same commands. Set all five to the same X10 address.

A Socket Rock doesn't register to the SC1200 like you would for a security device.
The SC1200 can only do one House Code as set in the setting menu.
To reprogram a Socket Rocket to a new address from its default A1.
Use the keypad buttons to send the address you want the second Socket Rocket to use.
