where to start?
«

Hi all,
I am really interested in x10, I just haven't had the time to do it. I'd like to commit to it. Any suggestion on where to start with the right foot? Or what kit to get for beginners and such.
thanks in advance

Give us an idea what you'd like to do.
No use us recommending something you don't plan on using.

I want to learn the concept of it first, and then to start perhaps lights(sensors, dim) and kitchen(coffee maker, crockpot).
thanks

Start here:

Return and read the stickies in each section that may apply to what your wishing to accomplish.
The Active Home Pro full package deal (all plugin package) is a good starting point.
However the PC interface that is currently supplied with it limits your possibilities and demands you keep your PC running 24/7.
If you just looking to turn things on/off via a remote any starter system will work.
