Alarm timeout
« on: October 26, 2012, 07:12:09 PM »

I have a securiLink and used a external siren controlled by an Universal model.
I am looking for a way to shut off the siren after, say 2 minutes. SecuritLink does not stop sending on/off serious of x10 signal ....
In case none disarm the system, its noise could make a problem in the neighborhood.

Is there anyway to have a timeout so that the alarm goes off after a set period like a car alarm?

thanks

Cool - I will try it out. The problem with SecuriLink is that the module stay on the "on" position after 4 minutes of on-and-off serial of signal. So using this timer may be able to shut the last "on" to off.

thanks

The other way is to use a PH508 or SH10A Large or Small Powerhorn. Modified to drive a relay.
A search here will find some mods to drive an external Siren until the SC1200s On Off sequence stops.
