Can't get it to work on Windows 8

I was able to get through a missing dll error but now when I start ActiveHome Pro, nothing happens.  It doesn't seem to launch as I don't see the executable in task manager.  I've tried changing the installer files to windows 7 compatibility as well with no luck.  Does this software work on Windows 8 or ever Windows 7?

The program works fine on windows 7.
with X10 having troubles this year they lost many of their programmers and most likely were unable to test it on win 8 to debug issues.
It is possible you got a bad downloaded installer to begin with.
