My door sensors stopped working
« on: January 12, 2014, 07:36:43 PM »

My door sensors stopped working. After reading trouble shooting in the manual, I reset them all. I pressed the test button on all the sensors. Went back to the console and switched it to install. I went back to each sensor and hit test again. I then set the console back to run 2. When I open the door, the light flashed, but no chime. This is on all the doors. :-\

Run 1, Run 2 and Install switch. So you have an X10 DS7000 Security Kit?

When you reset the door sensors. You changed their ID.
Did you also reset the console {unplug AC and remove the battery} so it could register the door sensors; keyfobs, tabletop remote  and have the switch in the Install Position?

Did the console Beep when you added the door sensors?

If it did not beep and in Run 2 no chimes. Either you didn't get the door sensors registered or the console has a problem receiving their signals.

Have you added any new electronic devices in the home, that maybe using an RF signal?
