Emailed with tech support. The problem isn't the app, it's the cameras limitations that won't allow motion detect etc. They are looking at new cameras that will have that ability. Here is what t hey wrote: " The app update that will be released (soon) for the new line of cameras will allow you to turn those features on and off from the app for the existing cameras but all setup will need to be done on the PC first - only the new cameras will have the capability of actually setting up those features from the app."
