Anyone know what this is?
« on: June 11, 2016, 06:13:12 PM »

I picked this up at a thrift store: wall wart with a mini stereo plug on the end of the cable.
Anyone know what it is?

Addressable power supply for a camera.
Ratings depending on the model number of the power supply.
One output is On all the time. To power the camera.
The other supply output is turned On and Off by an X10 command. To control the RF transmitter in the camera. So only one was on at a time and didn't step on each other. Addresses where in groups of four. Same house code. Units 1-4,5-8,9-12 and 13-16. Turn one in a group on the other three went off with no needed off command.

This one is for the Ninja Pan and Tilt base.

This one with a lower output rating was used on some of the cameras.

There have been a few users. That have used them for a low current 12 volt switched low voltage control.
The links gave the ratings and what is always on and what was switched.
I do not have a rating on how much current the switched output is of the whole current rating of the supply.
Remember the Unit Code Groups. It is easy to turn one off with a on command to another X10 module in the same group.

I use a couple of them as power supplies for low power under-cupboard/counter LED strips.

This is important and consumes addresses - so I gave them their own House Code.
