What exactly is this XPS3 switch? Single pole single-throw? Thanks in advance.

The XPS3 is an On Off module. Requires a Neutral power connection. Besides the Line and Load.
It functions as a SPST type switch but has a Control Input on it so a companion switch can trigger it in a multi way setup.
It can be used for controlling devices not designed for dimmer use.
The XPS3 is discontinued and replaced by an updated XPS4. That has better signal handling properties and a quieter internal relay..
You may still find XPS3 modules on some dealers sites but the XPS4 maybe a better choice.
