Sorting / rearranging devices in the app

Maybe I missed something, but I couldn't figure out how to sort / rearrange items in my Devices list (android app). Is there a way to do this? If not, should there be?

Rearanging or sorting is by adding them to a room.
I agree some sort of aranging is needed.  This may be a nother idea for a wish list poll

But if I want to add a new device *above*others in the room, my only option is to remove all the devices below where I want the new one, add the new one, and then add all the others back in. I'll set up a poll for this one.

I agree. This is how Steve Jobs got his products out as fast. He got the general public to do the Beta testing.
I'll bet by the end of 2018, the sales will go to the point they can't ignore these requests.
Any inconvenience for the user should be delivered directly to the programmers the day the problem occurs.
If you work for Facebook of one of those companies, no one leaves until the problem is re-coded.
THIS PRODUCT IS ON X10.COM's FRONT page.
This is a global product and should be easy to use as such.
Overlooking a sorting on this thing was an item on the punch list the developers could not get to before the 2018 launch I'm sure.
