Alexa will no longer discover devices from HA-Bridge
« on: November 16, 2020, 06:54:01 PM »

Alexa will no longer discover devices from HA-Bridge.  Both Home Genie an HA-Bridge will control my X-10 devices but Alexa will not discover them.  I have removed all devices and tried discovery to no avail.  I have also rebuilt HA-Bridge from the HomeGenie Helper.

Any thoughts?

I have attached the screens from HA Bridge.  Please tell me if I have done something wrong that Amazon will not discover them?

So I discovered what (I think) the issue was.  In Home Genie the Universal Plug and Play along with X10 was enabled.  I disabled the UPNP, tried discovering nothing happened.  Came back a few hours later and tried discovering and devices were discovered.  Some were not the correct names so I went into the Echo app and renamed them and all is working now.  Yes this was strange, I assume that the Alexa does not instantly dump it's cache.  Also I assume that HA-Bridge give preference to the interfaces in the order that they are listed.  These are assumptions, but now I am working once again.

I hope my experience helps the others.
