Ceiling fan
« on: May 03, 2006, 11:28:48 AM »

What's your recomendation for an X10 installation on a remote control ceiling fan and lights, I can operate the lights using the wall switch, but there's no cord for manual operation of the fan.

I have CFL, so I was thinking that for the lights I can use an appliance module, but how bout for the fan? how could I control the dif. speeds on it?

Unfortunately there aren't very many good solutions for controlling ceiling fans.  If you have separate wall switches for the light and the fan, things get a bit easier however.

Some of the options available are described in the thread Ceiling Fans w/Lights & X10 control?.  Lets move all further discussion to that thread so that we can keep all the information in one place.
