« on: November 03, 2005, 11:21:56 PM »

Will there be a charge for these?

Is that a serious question?

When has any company ever given you anything
for free?

The software package now is the way it will
be until it is replaced sometime in the
future, or X-10 goes out of business, which
ever comes first.

If your a former AHP user why are you
hanging out in this forum??  Get a life!!
It's as if you hate the truck stop, but eat
there every day 'cause you want to complain
about the food.

Bob Lin-
The updates are free, in fact AHP will
notify you there is an update automatically
when you turn it on.

The updates are free or always have been in
the past. Plug-In's maybe an added cost item.

In the past, updates have always been free,
and plug-ins have always been for a
charge.  If they intended the internet plug
in to be free, it would be included in the
base software, rather than a "plug-in"

I am a former AHP user, and I read these
forums in the hope that X-10 will actually
honor their commitment to providing a usable
product.

I think the concept of a one piece PC
interface and a whole house transciever is a
good one and I hope it will work someday.

If they ever do get it to work, I would be
willing to repurchase it.  Deep down I know
they probably won't be fixing it, but I do
keep hoping to one day come to this forum,
and see a post from X-10 Pro saying "We
admit we screwed up, we have fixed the
software and solved all of the problems!"
