Flag problems
« on: November 16, 2005, 11:35:31 AM »

I have 2 macros that will set Flags 1 and
2 - no problem. Flag 1 is set at dawn, and
flag 2 is set at 8:00am.

I have 2 timers that are triggered at 1
minute after the flags are set - a macro is
supposed to be triggered only once at
either 8:00am or at dawn - whichever is
later. The problem is that when I do a
conditional check of both flags either at
the same time or an individual check of
both flags the macro will still execute.

example: it's 8:01 flag 1 is set, flag 2 is
NOT set - the macro will still run.
Dawn is at 7:45am flag 2 is set, flag 1 is
not set - the macro will still run.

If I do a conditional flag check of both
flags 1 and 2 , the system should not
execute the macro. If I put 2 individual
flag checks the macro should not be
executed. It seems that the system is doing
an OR check of the flags rather than an AND
check. Any ideas?

I think flag evaluation "went away" on the
latest version. That's happened before when
a new version came out then they came out
with a later version to fix flags. Hopefully
they'll do the same this time. See my 1/15 &
1/19/2006 entries entitled "SmartMacros
Flags". I'm hoping a fix is coming soon
because I don't need cameras & lights coming
on when I'm asleep (flag 3 set) or away from
home (flag 6 set) [Both ignored]. It would
also be nice if Support would acknowledge my
email on this problem too.

Donald,

I have some macros in which the flags seem
to be working and others where they do not.
In my case the flags do set and clear as
expected but the program does not appear to
react as expected based on the condition of
the flag. The problems with the flags has
been posted several times before, going
back several months, and still no response
from X10 on this one.
