Dusk conditional
« on: January 10, 2005, 06:19:44 PM »

On 12/10 I spoke with Carey at tech support
about problems I was having. I carefully
reproduced and documented one of the
problems -- a "dusk" conditional was not
working in the macro, but after switching
it to a "hard" time it worked every time.

I have received no further communication
from anyone at x10. Perhaps my
documentation was not forwarded to
appropriate people? I believe others have
had this problem, but I'm surprised to see
no recent posts on this.

X10 -- is this a known issue and when is it
scheduled to be fixed?

Me too. Can somebody from X10 chime in here
to let us know when we can expect a fix for
the problem?

RobC: I didn't see anything from technical
support about the problem -- if you send your
information and data file to
ahpsupport@x10.com I'll be able to take a
look. This isn't something that I have in our
list of known problems.

Me too!

I have sent numerous emails to tech support
with logs and ahx files and I have NEVER
gotten a response from anyone there.

As I see it, one problem is X-10's greed in
releasing this P.O.S. too soon and expecting
US to debug it for them. The second problem
is that X10 is on the ropes from selling junk
and they probably dont have enough people
left there to deal with customer support issues.

For the $50, I am not going to get an ulcer
over this AHP fiasco. If they fix it, I might
consider doing more business with them but
until that happens, they can send me all the
"special offer" spam they want but they will
not get one more dollar from me!

I loaded 3.177 and will test the dusk
conditional. Since I didn't notice anything
in the release notes about this, I'm not
overly optimistic (that and the fact that I
never received a response after forwarding
my defect information to
ahpsupport@x10.com ).

I am having the same problem also.  Are you
using the conditional for "Time is between x
and Dusk"?  I was going to try a workaround
to see if I could set flags at certain times
and rest the flags at dusk using the timer
designer since it works properly, then the
conditional would just need to check the
flags.  Has anyone else tried this method?
If not, I will try it and post my results.

Daytime / Nightime does not seems to work
for me either.
