TRIGGERS NOT WORKING
« on: January 21, 2006, 12:17:11 AM »

I don't understand why my active eye motion
sensor is not triggering my macro.  I set
it to A4 on and then turn on lamp A1 and
dim to 50%.  The macro works when I press
the blue macro button but the motion sensor
will not trigger it even though I know the
system is receiving the signal. HELP!

I'm having the EXACT same problem.  I just
purchased the whole software package a week
ago... and the macros don't work.  I reset
the interface and everything.  If i click
the blue macro button, works fine.  But if
the trigger (activeye motion sensor) goes
off, you see the action on the computer, the
blue macro button flashes, but the lamp
never comes on.  - it's got to be a software
bug - since manually pressing the button
runs the macro..  macros saved and uploaded,
doesn't help.... I'm currently waiting on
the phone with tech support.... 18 minutes
and counting... (just an fyi, twice the
macros worked, but as soon as you go in to
adjust one setting, bang, they don't work
anymore..no idea why they start to work
sometimes)

I had to create a new "house" by selecting
new under File - saved a new file and
started from scratch... it then worked on a
simple macro triggered by sensor.  After
getting off phone with tech, I added an
after dusk and before dawn condition (it's
9pm so clearly after dusk and the settings
are for my area) and the macro didn't work.
I removed condition and it worked.  I then
tried different after and before times -
none worked.  I then changed condition to
Nighttime, and it worked.  Definately a bug
in the conditions.  Do you have a dusk to
dawn or before/after time condition?

I am having the same problem.  Glad to know
that it is not just me.  It's very
frustrating to watch it work correctly when
you click the macro button on the computer,
but it does not work when I trigger the
macro from a mini controller.  Any news on
a fix???

I have several macros triggered by motion
sensors and they all have worked fine since
Mar 05.  The macros fire from the motion det
signal and do a routine to check the time ..
if time after 11pm or before 5am they dim the
bath lights instead of full brightness.  The
flags are used to prevent susequent dimming
until the OFF command has been sent by the
Motion det because of no motion sensing.  I
DO NOT use Flag 1 or FLAG 16 as I have heard
those flags may be used by AHP (but not sure
if that is fact). In any case, my macro seems
to work fine.  The only catch here is the
CM15A's inability to handle incoming Motion
Det RF less than a couple of seconds apart.
i.e. when 2 or more motion detectors are
activated at or appoximately at the same time.

Strange, I asked the tech specifically if
the macro could be set to not activate until
the previous motion sensor(a1) trigger event
ended, and he said there was no way -
whenever the motion sensor(a1) goes off the
light dims down again even if it's in the
middle of brightening from last motion sensor
(a1)trigger - can you direct me to
directions on the use of flags to prevent
this?  thanks.

I'm having the same problem.  I have tested
everything.  I have a long hall that is
controlled by 5 switches.  I wanted to be
able to turn them on in sequence from a
single tranmitter switch as a trigger.  I
can control all of them from remotes and
through the computer.  I have checked the
log of the x10 control codes and everything
looked fine there.  The macro switch was
detected and the codes sent out but no
results. I have even trigger the macro from
the conputer with no results but the log
show it working. I could control the lights
manually from the computer and it works
fine.  I have downloaded, reloaded, remove
and re download but still not able to get
the macro to actually work.  I have a
repeater from from one leg of 120 volts to
the other. HELP
