Flag bits getting set without 'set' command (3.172)
« on: December 06, 2004, 02:00:59 PM »

None of my macros manipulate bits 14 or 15,
yet several times they have appeared to be
set (and remained set until I wrote a macro
to clear them) when I check their status.
Steven R also mentioned bit 1 and bit 15
turning on unexpectedly in a previous post.

I didn't see this behavior until 3.172.

I think I erred in referring to bits 14 & 15
(I was starting from 0-- old habit) and this
post should refer to 15 & 16.

That said, I think that X10 Pro's post in
the 'consecutive flag bits... ' thread
explains that this behavior isn't a bug, but
a side effect of these bits being used to
track dusk/dawn changes.  I agree with
Steven R it would be nice to see this
documented so it could be taken advantage of.
