Yesterday night I was adding some stuff to
my AHP configuration and tried the “Merge”
function to add another AHP configuration
file. The “Merge” itself worked but all the
added modules were greyed out. Same state as
if they were in the recycle bin.
I closed AHP and my computer just hanged
there (Win XP Home, SP2). Did a reboot but
was never able to restart AHP, always got an
error message saying that “X10 Module
encountered a problem and needs to be
closed”. Looking at the Microsoft error
report it refers to “X10nets.exe” being
faulty.
Regular removal and installation of the AHP
software did not work. I had to manually
delete all the files related to AHP (i.e.
X10 common directory) and then was able to
reload everything (good thing I backed up my
configuration files in a different folder).
Crazy as I am, I was able to replicate the
exact same problem trying a “Merge” for a
second time.
