Some modules stoped to respond to commands
« on: January 03, 2006, 05:47:28 PM »

I've been using a CM15A (the USB module)
for over 2 years now.  It was working
perfectly for most of that time.  Now for
some reason, some features are no longer
working.  My outside lights wont turn on or
off by themselfs anymore (the living room
and the entry way light are doing the same
thing).  I tried re programming my CM15A
with no luck.  I can see from the event
loger that when I sent a command with my
remote, the macros wont go out like they
use to.  My switchs themselves seem to be
working fine (when manually operated
anyways).  I just replaced the CM15A module
to realise that that was not my problem.
Anyone has an idea why those three switchs
have stopped responding to the system and
why at the same time, any commands or
macros that have anything to do with these
switchs are not working anymore?
The rest of the system seems to still be
working fine.
I wrote to X10 tech support in september
and again in december, but I never received
any reply on there part.

Thank you in advance for any help that you
can provide.

Any new electronic goodies that maybe making
X10 Line Noise or absorbing the X10 signals?
Something also could have change with your
homes electronic devices. Someone else here
started to loose control of devices and
found the power supply for their printer had
started to generate noise and stoped their
signals from getting to some modules. You
may want to selectively unplug electronic
things and see if the modules start working.
Even these new compterized washers and
dryers have been reported to mess X10
signals?
