Myhouse Dial Up Bugs

The dial up feature does not force a
disconnect from the internet/phone line at
the time determined in the preferences.

In fact the line does not disconnect at
all.  This bug is costing me $30 a day @
$1.50 / hour for dial up fees as the
computer is at a remote location that I
cannot get to for a week.

Even if I temporarily manage to disconnect
the call with call waiting (which has only
happened once in 25 attempts) the system
then re-dials the internet connection again.

This is a very serious problem as the line
is tied up, preventing emergency calls
getting through/out and costs a fortune.

I have tried everything to disconnect this
line with no success.

My guess, since you have dial-up, either My
House needs a broadband connection or there
are still massive server problems.  As to
dropping the commection, there's the old
standby of pulling the phone cord out of the
modem and rebooting.

You also posted the same thing in the general
forum and got no replies.

I would contact X10's Customer Support
directly with your question. In the mantime,
uninstall My House until you get an answer
one way or another. That will save you a lot
of greif.
I don't SELL this stuff... BUT I sure do ENJOY using it!!!
