Hi,

I am looking for a piece of software that I can use in an application I am trying to develop. I want to attach a camera to my electric gates and be able to record and automatically open the gates for certain vehicles. The software I require is the character recognition part of it. I would like to pass the engine an image and get a simple text string back. I could then decide on the logic and record the transaction. If anyone knows of something like this I would be grateful. By the way I would prefer it to be shareware or freeware, if I could afford to buy the commericial ones I wouldn't be posting  ;D
