2.4 Ghz true range and channels
« on: June 07, 2005, 10:43:51 AM »

How many feet will 2.4 Ghz transmit in
viewable form, and with only 4 channels on
each cam and receiver is it possible for my
neighbors to be watching my nursery cam???
(Do all 2.4 Ghz wireless cams have the same
exact 4 channels for transmission purposes?)

What I found about this was that it is
possible for someone to receive your signal.
But for that to happen here are things that
need to occur: 1) they need to have a
receiver, 2) they need to be within 100' of
your camera, 3) if your power supply is
programmable then they need to set their
receiver to that particular setting to get
the signal.  There are 256 possible choices.

Yes they can. There are receivers and
antennas that people use to cruse
neighborhoods and watch things like cameras
baby monitors etc. If it is ON someone could
be watching it.
