I've painted several of my dark cameras white
because I installed them under my roof eave
and the siding I have is white.
Here's what I did:
1) Wiped camera plastic parts lightly with
alcohol to remove any dirt, grease,
fingerprints, etc.
2) Removed the clear plastic cap over the
camera lens.
3) Put a small round 'dot' of anything over
the actual camera lens. Can be a small circle
of masking tape, a small piece of foam,
whatever, as long as the actual lens is
covered. Installing it and removing it will
be easier if you use tweezers since the piece
is small.
4) Put camera on some newspaper sheets
5) Sprayed camera using a can of Krylon
'Fusion' spray paint for plastics. Can find
this at any hardware store, Home Depot, etc.
6) After first spraying, let things dry for
about 15-20 minutes, then resprayed.
7) Let camera sit for a few days to be sure
everything is totally dry all the way through
before trying to push the clear lens cap back on.
Good luck.
