I will be investing in a cell phone package
soon because I want to be notified when my
DS7000 trips if I'm not near one of the
numbers called.  I was curious if anyone has
successfully incorporated a cell phone
dialer into their system?  Any fool with a
pocketknife can instantly disable your
system outside the house by cutting the
phone line.  I'd like a little backup device
that is tripped by the power flash unit to
start dialing numbers and hopefully play a
pre-recorded message.  I know something is
out there but I want something affordable.
Not something a bank would buy.

Power Flash sends an X10 Line Signal to
modules when the terminals on it are closed.
Maybe you are thinking of the Universal
Module that has a set of isolated contacts
that close when sent an ON command. The
DS7000 may not trip a UM506 unless it is set
to the security light code as the signals
sent out to turn on the Powerhorns is an All
Lights ON and a All Units OFF that the UM506
will not respond to. If memory serves me the
DS7000 turns ON the Lights when you arm away
so that may trip the UM506 when you don't
want it to.
