Lights on different numbers
« on: December 31, 2004, 01:28:29 PM »

If I have all my lights and such on housecode
'J', is there anyway to still use them?
Right now I have them all set to the same
light code "5" as the ds7000... but I can't
use them with a remote cause they all turn on
at once.  Is there anyway I can set them to
1,2,3,4 light codes, etc and still have the
DS7000 flash them during an intruder break-in?

I don't think so with X10 switches. Some
other brands have Scene Addresses. Where you
set the main house code and unit code and
also suplementary ones that can be set to do
things like preset dim or go on when another
address is received for its group.

Any light modules that have the same
housecode as the DS7000 will flash if a
sensor is tripped.  You can set each module
to any Unit Code you wish, and control each
module individually.  They will still flash
when a sensor is tripped and the DS7000 is
armed.
