Has anyone come up with a glass break
sensor that works with X10?  I have read
about some that work in place of the
magnetic contacts on the door/window
sensor, but haven't seen anything that says
it is compatible.  The x10 glassbreak
sensor unit is always out of stock.

The door window-sensors are closed when not
triggered. Any switch that is closed when
not triggered can be wired into the two
terminals that the magnetic switch is
normally wired to.

FYI, there are two types of glass breakage
sensors.  One type detects the sound of
breaking glass.  The other detects the
vibration of the glass breaking on the
surface it is attached and then the
contacts open and close in conjunction with
the vibrations.  The sound type supposedly
can do a given area whereas the vibration
type must be on each window.  On my windows
if I put a sensor on the stationary window,
then the movable window will not go past
it.  Just food for thought

Thanks Dick, I saw that problem already on
mine.  I have two sliding glass doors on my
back porch.  This area has had several
breakins thru sliding doors by chunking bbq
grills or backyard objects thru the glass.
I was hoping to find something that would
tie into my x10 system because of the extra
remote sirens I have on it making it REALLY
loud and the fone dialer.  I haven't found
a sound activated monitor that would tie
into the x10 system and was hoping to find
one with a thin enuff sensor to hook to a
x10 door window sensor.

The true sound type do not need to be
mounted on the glass
