I just read one person complaining he couldnt
use NIMH rechargable batteries...Man, I just
ordered 24 of them buggers to use in the
system I'm awaiting to arrive. Anyone else
using them?

Never recommend using rechargables with
wireless systems, they can be faulty....but
give it a shot it may work fine.

Completed some testing.
Found that the 1.2 vdc @ 2000maH is marginal
in some of the window sensors only.
Meaning that 2 sensors, 1 set of batteries,
one reported low battery, the other didn't
Motion detector OK, lasts for 6 months.

Try it- Be sure to use alkaline in the
problem sensors.

I agree Tony. I Just had 1 sensor report as
low battery ( It's only been installed 1 week
). Sigh, I guess I am going to replace all
these brand new NiMH 2250maH with some
Energizer Alkalines. Even though I got the
re-install of the system down to just a few
minutes, I dont want to have the need to do
it in the future.

Anyone want a great deal on a bunch of AA
2250maH NiMH batteries? I promise they have
only been charged once..

While NiMH batteries are great for
somethings, this is not a good application
for them. Charge shelf life is much shorter
on rechargeable batteries than alkaline
ones. This makes them more suited for high
drain applications than this use.
