Trigger Security Console from CM11A
« on: June 14, 2005, 11:39:36 PM »

OK - Is there any way to trigger my alarm
system (PS561) from my CM11A? - Can I send
it a panic or turn off or on the alarm?
Any ideas?

I've had this on my project list for some
time but have not gotten around to it yet.
I believe you can send 5 on & off commands
in a row to a device with the same house
code as your alarm (oops, just realised I
have the ds7000 and you have the PS561, not
sure howw different they are).
I'm not sure about stopping the alarm though.

Not sure you can trigger the console as it
uses the RF Remotes and Detectors to be
triggered and thay use a security code in
the transmission. The Powerhorn Sirens can
be triggered by an All Lights ON All Units
OFF codes being sent repeatedly on the House
Code they are set to or the ON OFF code for
the Address they are set to. Note I did find
that my SH10A Powerhorn but not the larger
PH508 will trigger and keep sounding for
about 4 minutes if a continous set of about
5 ON codes in a row are sent on the Address
it is set to.
