Extending system range

How would I go about extending the range of
the x10 cameras.

I have a 7 camera system for my business
and I would like to boost the range/signal
(ie. to go thru walls, etc better).

Is it as simple as buying transceivers and
placing them around the business?

I guess my main question is:  Will
additional transceivers extend the range of
the system?

If not do you have a recomendation on a 2.4
repeater?

Don't think thay make such an animal.
You would need a repeater or tranceiver that
could receive and transmit on the same
frequency. That would not work.
Even if you could set the camera to
Frequency A and the receiver to D. I don't
think there is enough distance between the
channels to stop interferance. Heck 2.4 Gh
cordless phones and wireless networks
interfere with the cameras. Some Microwaves
also.

I have seen a camera with the antenna
modified and used on an RC Plane sending
pictures back to a receiver on the ground.

I am wondering if those " Pringles Can "
antenna I've heard about to extend PDA
wireless web range would work??

Brian H

Maybe. Don't know the frequency they use off
hand.
The wirless network ones may also work.
