Monitor Plus
« on: November 14, 2005, 04:41:07 PM »

Hello, I recieved a Monitor Plus security
system for my birthday a couple years back,
except the problem is its not monitored
because I refuse to pay that much each
month. Is there anyway I can still use the
security lights feature?

Sure...this system functions just like the
_DS7000 with a few exceptions:  Dial out to
monitoring station (non-user programmable),
need to set house unit codes per
instructions, has an annoying dusk on
feature for your lights which is non-user
changable but other than these and a few
minor other things (battery backup is days
instead of hours) it works just great as a
stand-alone alarm.

Set the _LM465 _Lamp Module to House Code A
and Unit Code 13.  If you have more _lamp
modules you can either set them to all to
A13 and they will all function as the
Security Lights or set them to A14, A15, A16
and control them indiviually with the _SH624
Remote Control lamp buttons.

How do I get the light to stay on till the
countdown delay goes off?

Use the _SH624 Security Remote with the
delay button set to MAX.  When you push ARM
AWAY, the security light will come on and
you will have one minute to exit the house.
After a minute, the security light will turn
off and the system will be armed.  I think
BYPASS mode does the same, as well.
